Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum

Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum is located in Ashland, Nebraska. This is a family, fun museum for everyone. This museum mostly contains airplanes that were used throughout the years. There are planes that tourists are able to tour through and see the many different controls throughout the planes. There are some for the kids where they are able to act as if they are the ones controlling the plane. You are also able to get some Astronaut ice cream and take part in a flight simulation where it looks as if you are in a real airplane.

Sheldon Museum of Art

Sheldon Museum of Art is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a great museum for those of you interested in Art. There are many different types of paintings from many different artists throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. This is a great way for future painters to gain inspiration for their future paintings. Also it is a fun way to get the kids out of the house, or just something different for you and your friends to do on a rainy day.

Pioneer Park Nature Center

Pioneer Park Nature Center is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a family friendly environment with activities for everyone in your family from the youngsters to the older ones in your family. The activities include hiking on trails, meet the exhibit animals, listen to birds in the garden, relax on a beach, treat yourself to smells of the herb garden, dig in the natural play area, and learn from all the exhibits.

Nebraska State Capitol

The Nebraska State Capitol is located in Lincoln, NE. This is a family fun place to visit where you can learn about what the people who run our state do during the day. You can also look at the many different rooms that are inside the Capitol and you can even call ahead and reserve a time to tour the Capitol with a tour guide who will tell you all about the Capitol. There are tours that are available every hour except over the noon hour in which you will have tour guide with you providing the tour for your whole family and friends.

Lincoln Children’s Zoo

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo is located in Lincoln, Nebraska and is a fun and friendly place for children of all ages. You can find many animals ranging from the small ones such as a frilled lizard to a much larger animal such as a red panda. There are places where you are able to feed animals such as the fish. The zoo also provides a train that you are able to ride if you want a quick tour of the whole zoo.

Platte River State Park is located in Louisville, Nebraska. This is a fun, family friendly state park for kids of all ages. There are many adventures for the whole family to become involved in. Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is located in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a bigger zoo than the Lincoln Children’s Zoo, and is a tun of fun. The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is the 6th best zoo in the United States. There are many animals that you can see throughout the entire zoo. There is building that is specifically for butterfly’s, and you can walk into the building and through a door and you are with many butterfly’s that are freely flying around you. The zoo offers a train ride for a quick tour of the whole zoo as well as a Skyfari where you can see the zoo from the sky.

Mahoney State Park is located in Ashland, Nebraska. This is a family fun environment for all. There are many different activities for the whole family to engage in.
